About Career Training
PTEC offers Workforce Education Certificate Programs at the postsecondary (adult) level and are designed to provide training in specific occupational areas. Students who complete a workforce education program will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Most programs are divided into several instructional blocks called Occupational Completion Points or OCPs. Students who withdraw from a program prior to completion may receive recognition for the number of OCPs completed.

High school students may receive high school credit for completion of Workforce Education Certificate Programs.

Employability skills instruction is included in all Workforce Education Certificate Programs. Cooperative education and apprenticeship programs are also offered, where appropriate. These programs provide opportunities for on-the-job training and are designed to reinforce skills learned in the classroom.
