Mission: The mission of this program is to satisfy our apprentices by providing a training facility that is equipped with modern technology to teach the correct and latest methods to repair today’s complex vehicles including foreign and domestic models in the automobile collision repair industry.

Description: The Gulfcoast Auto Collision Apprenticeship program accepts apprentices from both the private and public sectors. The program is designed to prepare individuals for occupations in skilled trades by combining on-the-job training (2000 hours per year) under the supervision of experienced workers and related classroom instruction (160 hours per year). This program is a four-year program. However, aggressive and dedicated apprentices can complete the program in two years. Once enrolled, the apprentice understands that participating in evening classes becomes part of the job description.

Industry Certification(s): Apprentices are eligible for certification in several service areas in the auto body industry through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), and International – Collision Auto Repair (ICAR).

Special Admission Requirements
A person must be at least 18 years old, currently working in a related job and have the ability to flex schedules and arrange transportation to evening classes. You must be recommended to this program by your employer.
