Tuition and Fees are collected at registration (prior to entering a program). Tuition and fees can be paid by cash, credit cards (MasterCard and Visa), and  personal checks, or money orders. Programs such as Adult General Education, GED, and ESOL are tuition free. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Fees/Expenses Tuition for programs offered is established by the Pinellas County School Board. Current tuition rates as of July 1, 2010 are as follows:

Career Technical Certificate $2.57 per hour for residents and $10.36 per hour for nonresidents/foreign students

Adult General Education (with diploma or GED) $1.26 per hour for residents and $5.08 per hour for nonresidents/foreign students

Continuing Workforce Education The fees for these classes will be based on the actual cost of each course and will be determined by the facility offering the course, or CTAE administration for courses offered at all facilities.

Self-Sustaining The fees for these classes will be based on the actual cost of each course and will be determined by the facility offering the course, or CTAE administration for courses offered at all facilities.

Adult General Education (without diploma or GED), High School Credit, GED, ESOL and Adult Disabled classes are tuition free. Some classes have lab fees.

Fee Assessment

In addition to tuition, pTEC programs and courses are subject to the following fees: 

• Nonrefundable application/processing fee

• Nonrefundable advanced tuition deposit

• ID card

• Parking decal

• Books, tools, and supplies

· Career Technical Student Organizations (membership fees)

• Laboratory fees

· Equipment and facility usage fees

• Graduation fees

• Liability insurance (as required by program)

• Uniforms (as required by program)

• Certification or licensure exam assessments (as required by program)
