Full-Time, On-Campus
Interested in an industry and professionally recognized license or certification? pTEC’s full-time programs are offered at the campuses located in Clearwater and St. Petersburg.
Online
pTEC offers a selection of programs online. In addition, pTEC offers GED, short courses, and continuing education online.

High School
Selected Pinellas County high school students can attend pTEC Tech or take classes while earning a high school diploma through Co/Dual Enrollment.
Continuing education
pTEC offers classes for health care, public safety, teacher training and certification through continuing education and Corporate Training.
PREP
FREE training and classes to help qualified refugees learn English, get a GED, and obtain career skills and training.
Admissions Process, Requirements and Criteria
General admissions process:

Take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).
- Students with an Associates degree or higher from an approved accredited college or university are exempt from taking the TABE. Please provide documentation of degree prior to enrolling.

General Information
Financial aid, which consists of the Federal Pell Grant and various agency scholarships, is available to eligible students and is used to help students meet their educational expenses.

FAQs
Q: How much does it cost to attend pTEC?
A: Tuition is currently $2.92 per clock hour for Florida residents. Each fee period is 225 hours at a cost of $657. In addition, there are one time and recurring fees, books, and tools costs for each program. Contact the Guidance office in Student Services for more details.
Q: How can I qualify for financial aid?
