CLEAN Energy Welding Program
Now recruiting those interested in welding as a career…
TUITION IS COVERED BASED ON ELIGIBILITY
WorkNet Pinellas, in partnership with Plumbers & Pipefitters Local Union 123 and pTEC, has received a U.S. Department of Labor grant to help accelerate the training of welders to address the skilled worker shortage for industrial projects in development throughout Florida. Welding is a high demand field that comes with a great paycheck, often upwards of $26.00/hour plus benefits to start after training, along with stable employment and strong benefits.
CLEAN Energy is a full-time, 16 week program that helps you towards achieving your welding certification and two years worth of apprenticeship training at the same time. Upon completion you will have the opportunity for immediate job placement. Depending on your skill level, you may test out earlier than 16 weeks. Incentives are also available to assist you with completing the program in good standing.
Applications are currently being accepted for training at two locations in Tampa Bay: Local Union 123 in Dover and pTEC – St. Petersburg Campus, 901 34th Street South, St. Petersburg. For more information, or to fill out an application, please contact Lee Middleton, Local Union 123 Training Director, at (813) 754-4065 or lmiddleton123@tampabay.rr.com.
