Over 100 students will graduate during pTEC summer ceremony

More than 100 students are expected to participate in the Pinellas Technical Education Centers (pTEC) summer graduation ceremony, Thursday, July 19 at 6 p.m. at the Countryside Christian Center, 1850 N McMullen Booth Rd., Clearwater.

James F. Madden, Jr., Deputy Superintendent, Chief of Staff for Pinellas County Schools will be the keynote speaker.  Singer India Welch, daughter of a pTEC staff member, will perform the national anthem. Elizabeth Kovanis from the Commercial Arts program will deliver the student address.

The pTEC Clearwater and St. Petersburg campuses offer over 60 full-time and apprenticeship programs, adult education, and customized courses for individuals and businesses.  pTEC holds two commencement ceremonies a year in January and July. The summer graduates represent approximately 30 full-time and apprenticeship programs.
