Pinellas County Urban League Summer Youth Work Readiness Program Starts Monday, June 18th

48 students, ages 14-16, will spend 6 weeks this summer developing their work readiness skills as part of the Pinellas County Urban League Summer Youth Work Readiness Program. pTEC is a proud partner of the Urban League and this program. The students will spend Monday –Thursday at pTEC, St. Pete campus and will receive a broad overview, specific instruction and hands on-training in workplace related skills such as entrepreneurship, finances, team building, problem solving, critical thinking, effective business communications, professional appearance and professional demeanor. Each Thursday, the students will visit four of pTEC’s numerous technical programs and participate in an activity, so they can learn more about a variety of careers. On Fridays, students travel to SPC Allstate Center for college workshops.
