Online learning offers a flexible, convenient format while maintaining the same standards of instructional quality you will find in our traditional programs. Pinellas Technical College's Online Learning program is a suite of both web-based and software-driven online classes that fall into three distinct categories:

  1. Certificate programs (Including GED Online)
  2. Short courses
  3. Partnership courses and programs

Pinellas Technical College Certificate Programs

These are high-quality, state-approved and COE accredited program level courses that provide a Pinellas Technical College certificate of completion which articulates with other statewide technical centers and colleges. These courses are typically one year or longer in length and require specific program level benchmarks. These programs offer a hybrid option of combining online learning (remote or on campus) and hands-on learning on campus. These are high-quality courseware developed by Pinellas Technical College instructors as short, Continuing Workforce Development courses which provide a portion of the state-approved curriculum. Due to the abbreviated nature, these courses do NOT articulate or grant credit toward Pinellas Technical College's program level courses. The following short courses are currently available:

Partnership Courses and Programs

These are high-quality career enhancement courseware provided in partnership with Pinellas Technical College but which does NOT provide a state approved, nationally accredited certificate of completion. These courses are taught and provided through a third party who manages and documents student progress and verifies student participation. Pinellas Technical College does not maintain records on students participating in these third-party courses.
